Walking Club Update

The Walking Club started on May 20 and will continue right through until September.  Every session we have a group that walks slower and a group that likes to walk faster so you can pick the group you are most comfortable with.  We start at the Gazebo close to the Rec Plex and walk down to the beautiful beach.  Our first week was a great success and the group will only continue to grow. Join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 10am.  Get a healthy dose of exercise and meet new people.   Everyone is welcome!

Winter Chill and Your Mood

Why it is Important to Pay Attention

Living in a four season community many of us embrace the changing of the seasons with toques and warm mitts quite enthusiastically.   For those of us who aren't so eager to dust off winter skis, the thought of winter months to come can be heavy and gloomy.  While any of us can certainly experience low days, or 'winter blues', it can be very concerning when these blue days begin happening more often than not.

November is Osteoporosis Month

Millions of Canadian women and men are at risk for osteoporosis, especially as they age. This often debilitating disease is characterized by a loss of bone mass and deterioration of bone tissue that makes bones more vulnerable to fractures and can lead to decreased mobility as well as disfigurement.

Plan on atteding this information session on Monday November 4th, 2013. Click on the link for find out more information and how to register.
